The Church Welcomes Me (Grade 2)
The primary focus of
this grade is the welcoming experience of
preparing for and receiving the sacraments
of Eucharist and Reconciliation. In
addition, the children learn about God the
Father, the obligation and importance of
sunday Mass, the need for forgiveness, and
the many ways to pray.
Because it follows the four pillars of the
Catechism of the Catholic Church, this
kid-friendly book − in
full color throughout − parallels the basic
curriculum themes for second grade and so can
be used to supplement any Catholic religion
program.
