Grade 1 Grade 2 Grade 3 Grade 4 Grade 5 Grade 6

Learning How to Live (Grade 4)

The primary focus of this grade is the Ten Commandments. The children also learn about grace and the presence of God, about the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, the formation of conscience, praying with Sacred Scripture, and prayer as a response to God's loving presence.

Because it follows the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, this kid-friendly book − in full color throughout − parallels the basic curriculum themes for fourth grade and so can be used to supplement any Catholic religion program.

Sections are color-coded to connect easily to the four areas:
Profession of Faith (blue)
Celebration of the Christian Mystery (red)
Life in Christ (green)
Christian Prayer (bronze)

The teaching and related activity are always on the same page, so no cumbersome cross-referencing to a text is needed. Activities of five to twenty minutes in length allow for great flexibility and use, and easy individualization, meeting children's differing needs for reinforcement.
