Eating Together Is a Way of Making FriendsEating together is a way Jesus shares with his followers. Eating together is often a remembering and sharing time. Jesus and Zacchaeus become friends by eating together.Jesus grew up in a Jewish family. His family blessed bread and wine at every Sabbath meal. Our community blesses bread and wine at Mass.Then we share a meal as Jesus taught us.Blessed are you, God. You give us this bread to eat. You send sun and rain to make seeds grow.
