Name ________________________________________ “As Christ Loves the Church”
Jesus established marriage as a sacrament when he turned the water into wine at the wedding at Cana. The married couple make a covenant for their own good and for the education of their children. A Catholic marriage also reflects the union between Christ and the Church. How is this so?
In the left column, brainstorm a list of things that Christ does for the Church and her members. In the right column, brainstorm a list of things that we, as the Church and individual Christians, are called to do for Christ. Then put a star by any item on both lists that are also important for healthy human relationships. Finally, choose one of your starred items, and use the lines below to explain how that item could be part of the relationship between a husband and wife.
