We Share Peace
Make a Peace Medal for this prayer service. Create circles for each child in construction paper or tagboard the size of a two-pound coffee can. Have each child write his or her favorite peace word in the circle or draw a peace-making action to do at home or school. Have the children decorate their medals and write their names on them.

We are a community of Jesus’ followers. We gather together.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Jesus, you take away our sins. You give us the Holy Spirit and new life.
Jesus says, “I give you my peace.”
Jesus, you came to your friends, the Apostles, when they were afraid and ashamed. Come to us, too.
Jesus says, “I give you my peace.”
Let us come up one by one and hang up our peace medals, which show our favorite ways of making peace.
Jesus gives us peace.
Let us show one another the peace that Jesus gives us. Children give one another a sign of peace.
Let us join hands and pray the prayer Jesus taught us. Our Father...
