FROM OUR EDITORS—Sunday, May 21 Sixth Sunday of Easter

image1In Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus promises “the Advocate,” the Holy Spirit, and says that if we are united with him [Jesus], we are united with God the Father too. The Blessed Trinity is the first community and model for our communal life. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct yet equal divine Persons.

While we humans tend to have our prejudices, we need to remember and model that God loves the whole world—no exceptions. God creates every one of us with the same human dignity. Our responsibility and challenge as catechists is to teach through our word and actions that we are called to love as God loves—no exceptions!
